NBA Conference finals

The NBA finals are here and the west and east conference finals are playing to get to the championship games. The west finals has the San Antonio Spurs (61-21) and the Golden State Warriors (67-15).  The east conference has the Cleveland Cavaliers (51-31) and the Boston Celtics (53-29).

In the west the Warriors swept the Spurs(4-0). Then in the east the Cavs lead (3-1). The Cavs and Celtics have to face each until the first to 4. This is my last blog of the year. The is Hope signing out.

Wrestling Team

This is the write up for my live report.  The purpose of my live report is to show people how Dillion Heinrich, Greg Rouse, and Ryan May´s season went this year.  It also shows how their team did in some of the questions asked.  Let’s start off with Greg’s interview. Greg’s interview was mostly based on how Greg did this season less his team.  Some good things Greg did was pin 6 people.  Greg’s overall record 12-2.

Now Dillon did a little better than Greg did this year.  Dillon did so good he made it onto the Varsity league of the team.  Greg was only on JV.  Dillon is a folkstyle wrestler during the season but a freestyle wrestler on the offseason.  Dillon had an overall record of 11-2 with 7 pins.

Now with Ryan May’s season.  Ryan had a really good season this year with a  record.  Ryan’s favorite match was his finals match at Union County tournament where he went into overtime in the championship to win.  Ryan’s dad really inspired him and his older brother to wrestle since he did it in highschool.    That was a great year for the Sunman Dearborn Middle School wrestling team.

~Hatchet~ by Gary Paulsen

Image result for original hatchet gary paulsen book cover  Hatchet is about a boy named Brian Robeson, who is the 13-year-old son of divorced parents. As he is on a plane going from Hampton, New York to visit his father in the oil fields of Northern Canada for the summer, the pilot suffers a massive heart attack and dies. Brian tries to land the plane, and crashes into a lake in the forest. He must learn to survive with nothing but the hatchet – a gift his mother gave him shortly before the plane departed. He has to deal with many various threats of nature and find a way to get a plane to find him so he can finally go home.

My Last Blog

Hello Im Logan and today i’m going to be talking about the NBA’s best big men. So the first player that I would like to talk about is Anthony Davis. I think that what he is doing is very impressive since he is so young and is keeping up with some of the best players in the league that are in their primes. He almost won the MVP and came in 3rd when he was only 3 years into the league. In my opinion he would have won the MVP but he didn’t play for a good team so got less votes. Overall I think that he has has a great NBA career in the short amount of time that he has been in the league.

 

The next person that i’m going to talk about is Demarcus Cousins since he is also very young and doing spectacular things. He ended up getting traded and is now playing with ANthony Davis so I think that he isn’t going to have as good as a season. He will have to share post space with him and that will result in both of their stats going down. He has been playing out of his mind and in my opinion is the 2nd best center. Not many people can do what he does when he stretches the floor and I think that it is amazing.
The next player is probably the most impressive and his name is Nikola Jokic. He is not from this country and it is only his 2nd year in the NBA. I find it very impressive of what he is doing. He is my most improved player and that’s all that I have to say so I hope that all of you guys have a great summer.

Wrestling live report

I interviewed Aj Tillman because he was at everyone of our matches and all of the tournaments. He also knows all the wrestlers very well. Some of the questions where how many wrestlers were were suspended because of grades. How many matches did our did our Sunman Dearborn wrestlers win. How many did the sunman Dearborn middle school wrestlers lose out of the entire year. Also, one was who placed in middle school state and what did they get.
The second person I interviewed was Greg Rouse he was our Sunman Dearborn middle school wrestling team 150 weight class. the reason I chose to interview him was because he is very well educated on wrestling. Some of his questions were what we class were you what was your record and Some of his questions were what we class were you what was your record and how long have you been wrestling for?
The third person I interviewed was Logan Rohrbacher I chose to interview him because he has gone to every single one of our wrestling matches and tournaments. He probably knows the most about wrestling that doesn’t wrestle . One of his questions were who is the youngest wrestler who placed in ISWA state and his answer was Joshua ringer and he placed fifth. Josh wrestled weight class 92 as a cadet.

the American civil war.

The american civil war happen on accident and a accident cause the bloodiest battle on american soil. the south and the north were enemies but not in a war. but then in 1861, in a north base a war ship was coming to get supplies. It was a southern ship. in the base a tanker blew up and everyone thought it was the ship because it was a southern ship and it had cannons on it. The union sunk the ship and this was the start of the civil war. president Lincoln was upset and the nation split in half of the union and the confederate.

Falling In Reverse

Hey guys, Its Amanda here with another band recommendation. This band I think is the most unique because they use a lot of different elements to make their music, they use heavy metal, post hardcore, pop, and rap elements in their songs. They also have a punk vibe with all of their songs.

This band is, Falling In Reverse, they were formed in 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada after the lead singer, Ronnie Radke, was released from jail. He kept in contact and recruited all members while incarcerated. Now he did not commit a crime but was considered an accomplice even though it is more likely he was just a witness but it was jury’s decision.

They have released four full length albums, and the their fourth album was just released on May 5. As of now the band only have three permanent members due to people leaving amongst other reasons.

I honestly hope you check out this band because they truly have a song for any and every emotion and they use figurative language so well. But most importantly this band makes you think because they are so honest with how they are feeling and aren’t afraid to call out things in society that may not be positive.

Top Shows to Binge This Summer!

 

  • Stranger Things- Nosebleeds and Eggo Waffles. The Netflix original series has taken the internet by surprise. It stars a group of kids, Mike(Finn Wolfhard), Lucas(Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin(Gaten Matarazzo), and Will(Noah Schnapp), along with Will’s family, Joyce (Winona Ryder), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton). Will disappear and his family goes on  The boys find a little girl, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who is a mysterious and doesn’t talk much. I can’t really tell anything else without spoiling anything, but it’s really worth a watch.
  • Merlin (BBC)- This the original story of the knights of the round table, with Colin Morgan as Merlin and Bradley James as Arthur. Merlin is a young man who has to help his prince, Arthur Pendragon survive the dangers of a world where witches, wizards, and warlocks want him dead. Uther Pendragon, the king, will kill anyone practicing magic. The twist is Merlin has magic and he has to keep it to himself with the help of his uncle the court physician, Gaius. This has already had it’s finally and is also on Netflix. Go watch it!
  • Supernatural- This is like one of my all time favorite modern TV shows. It follows two brothers and their hunts. What do they hunt? Vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, demons, and many other things. Dean (Jensen Ackles), the older brother, and Sam (Jared Padalecki) save people from these monsters with the help of their angel, Castiel (Misha Collins), and the king of Hell, Crowley (Mark Sheppard). The entire show is twelve seasons long, with thirteen coming out this Fall. Here is a challenge, get through all of the seasons before season thirteen comes out.
