Wrestling Team

This is the write up for my live report.  The purpose of my live report is to show people how Dillion Heinrich, Greg Rouse, and Ryan May´s season went this year.  It also shows how their team did in some of the questions asked.  Let’s start off with Greg’s interview. Greg’s interview was mostly based on how Greg did this season less his team.  Some good things Greg did was pin 6 people.  Greg’s overall record 12-2.

Now Dillon did a little better than Greg did this year.  Dillon did so good he made it onto the Varsity league of the team.  Greg was only on JV.  Dillon is a folkstyle wrestler during the season but a freestyle wrestler on the offseason.  Dillon had an overall record of 11-2 with 7 pins.

Now with Ryan May’s season.  Ryan had a really good season this year with a  record.  Ryan’s favorite match was his finals match at Union County tournament where he went into overtime in the championship to win.  Ryan’s dad really inspired him and his older brother to wrestle since he did it in highschool.    That was a great year for the Sunman Dearborn Middle School wrestling team.

Wrestling live report

I interviewed Aj Tillman because he was at everyone of our matches and all of the tournaments. He also knows all the wrestlers very well. Some of the questions where how many wrestlers were were suspended because of grades. How many matches did our did our Sunman Dearborn wrestlers win. How many did the sunman Dearborn middle school wrestlers lose out of the entire year. Also, one was who placed in middle school state and what did they get.
The second person I interviewed was Greg Rouse he was our Sunman Dearborn middle school wrestling team 150 weight class. the reason I chose to interview him was because he is very well educated on wrestling. Some of his questions were what we class were you what was your record and Some of his questions were what we class were you what was your record and how long have you been wrestling for?
The third person I interviewed was Logan Rohrbacher I chose to interview him because he has gone to every single one of our wrestling matches and tournaments. He probably knows the most about wrestling that doesn’t wrestle . One of his questions were who is the youngest wrestler who placed in ISWA state and his answer was Joshua ringer and he placed fifth. Josh wrestled weight class 92 as a cadet.

Native American Mascots

Should teams use Native American Mascots

Do you know the percentage of  Native American tribes that agree with Native American mascots? Nearly 90% of Native Americans are not offended by Native American mascots according to George Will of  NewsMax.Teams should be able to keep the mascot if they have permission, not considered racist, and don’t discriminate against players or staff of color.

Teams should be allowed to use Native American Mascots if they get permission from the tribe they are named after. For example the Central Michigan Chippewas have gotten permission and the tribe agrees the name is not racist. The Florida State Seminoles have also gotten permission from the Seminole tribe they feel the team honors their people and their ancestors. Those tribes have given those teams permission to use their names so they should not be changed.

Teams that don’t have racist names should be allowed to use the mascot they have . For example the Golden State Warriors are not a racist name. Most Native American tribes consider the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians not to be racist.Native American tribes do however consider Redskin and other names to be racist according to espn.

If a team is racist to their players they shouldn’t be able to use Native American  mascots.

My Top Three Favorite Music Artist

Hey guys, it’s Liv here from JCrew news. This is a list of my top three favorite musicians. No hate in the comments or anything like that, please. Music is a huge source of happiness for me and I’m very passionate about it. Thank you. Pictures of the bands down below.

  1. Panic! At The Disco– Guess that song! *I chime in with a haven’t you people ever heard of closing a _______ door* If you said I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! At The Disco, then you’re correct!  Panic! is my number one favorite band of all time. The band just recently came to Louisville, KY on the Death of A Bachelor tour. I went to the concert. It. Was. AMAZING. Brendon Urie, age 30, lead singer, is the only original member of the band when it was formed in 2004. As I previously stated, they are my number one favorite band of all time.
  2. My Chemical Romance– Guess that song! *When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band* If you said Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, then you’re correct! I love this band, even though they broke up 4 years ago. Their most popular album is probably The Black Parade. That album contains the emo anthem, Welcome to the Black Parade. Yes, I did just say that.
  3. Melanie Martinez– Guess that song! *You seem to replace your brain with your heart, you take thing so hard and then you fall apart* If you said Crybaby by Melanie Martinez, then you’re correct! I actually did a blog on Melanie a little while ago so go and check that out for information about her.

Ethan Merk Live Report

Greg Rouse Live Report

Dillon Heinrich Live Report

Write up:

In my live reports I interviewed Dillon Heinrich, Greg Rouse, and Ethan Merk. I interviewed all of them on wrestling. The first person that I interviewed was Dillon and we talked about the types of wrestling and how good that he does. In the interview he also talks about how many wins and losses he has. Another thing that we talk about is what teams that he plays for during and out of school. When we talked about the team that he plays for outside of school he mentions that it is very rare that you’ll find a wrestling team and more often that you’ll have to play solo.  He also said that he does folk style in school and freestyle out of school. When asking him what he preferred he said that he likes freestyle since their are less boundaries than folk style.

The next person that I interviewed was Greg Rouse and I asked him about his season and what he did during the season to prepare. The first question that I asked him was how he felt about wrestling and he said that it was fun but he could have had a better season. The next thing that I asked is his favorite wrestler and he said Dillon Heinrich since he doesn’t watch much professional wrestling. Next I asked him how long he has been playing and it has been around seven years. Finally, the last thing that I asked him was where he practices at and he said he doesn’t play for a team but just goes to camps.

Finally, the last person that I interviewed was Ethan Merk and the main focus that I was asking him was what his thoughts were on wrestling. I asked hi question like his biggest rival and who he lost and he answered both questions as Lawrenceburg. Another question that I asked him was how he has been doing to improve. And he has been doing little things such as running and lifting weights. Now, the last one that I ended up asking was some of his favorite pro wrestlers to watch but he didn’t seem that interested. I really enjoyed interviewing everyone over wrestling and their season. That is all that I did for my live report.

Swimming

Hey it’s Matt and I am going to be talking about swimming. Swimming is a very competitive sport and you have to have a lot of strength and skill to actually be good at it. A lot of people see swimming as something easy but, it is actually very challenging. Swimming tires you out more than any sport and, works almost every muscle in your body. Swimming keeps you in great shape. There are four different strokes you use in competitive swimming, freestyle, breastroke butterfly, and backstroke are the stokes. The most tiring stroke is butterfly, it takes a lot of strength to be good at this stroke. Breaststroke is the second hardest but, it is very easy to do in short events, like a fifty meter. Butterfly is the same way but, freestyle and backstroke are easy for both short and long distance. Well i wouldn’t say easy but, those strokes are the easiest for every type of event by far. There is so much more to know about swimming but i will have to stop there, thanks for reading!

Guns

Now for the 20 gauge, this gun is a smooth bore shotgun that fires a shell that is smaller in caliber (.615 in.) than a 12 gauge shotgun (.729 in.)A 20 gauge is more suitable for hunting certain types of game.

A Pistol is a firearm designed to be handheld, in either one or both hands. This characteristic differentiates handguns as a general class of firearms from long guns such as rifles and shotguns (which usually can be braced against the shoulder). Single shot pistols were the earliest pistols, muzzle loading guns with ignition provided by inserting a smoldering match cord into a touch hole. As such, they were essentially nothing more than a miniature cannon, small enough to be handheld. The  desert eagle hand gun has a magazine capacity of 9 rounds in .357. Its barrel features polygonal rifling, it is primarily used for hunting, and target shooting. Let’s talk about the 44 magnum the first one was made on December 15, 1955. It was made by Smith & Wesson.

US Navy

Hey it’s Matt and i will be talking about the United States Navy. The United States Navy Is the best Navy in the world. We do the best in combat and we are the most technologically advanced. We also have the biggest Navy. The Navy transports all of the other branches by sea. The Navy also takes out other vessels of enemy or hostile nations. The United States Navy is absolutely amazing. The Navy isn’t just a branch that is in the water all the time. Our Navy has a special forces group called SEALs. Navy SEALs are known for being the best of the best. The United States Navy also has SWCC, what they do is insert and extract the Navy Seals. The United States Navy is mostly all about stuff in the water except for sometimes SEALs and Seabees. Seabees are like the United States Military’s construction. The Navy also has Frogman which are underwater demolition teams really. Thanks for reading!

Shotguns Again

A typical 12 gauge shotgun slug is a blunt piece of metal that could be described as an 18 mm.In the slug are lots of tiny balls one of these balls are about 1/12-pound of lead. A shotgun is usually designed to be fired from the shoulder. The most common shotgun today is none other than the 12 gauge.

Now for the 20 gauge, this gun is a smooth bore shotgun that fires a shell that is smaller in caliber (.615 in.) than a 12 gauge shotgun (.729 in.)

A 20 gauge is more suitable for hunting certain types of game.

8th grade formal

Hey guys it’s Kamiryn here with another blog. I will be talking about the sdms 8th grade formal. The dance will be on friday may 12, 2017 it will be lasting from 6:00pm-8:30pm. The door will be opened 10 minutes before 6pm and 10 minutes after 6pm. Only 8th graders from sdms are allowed to go to the dance. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.

Girls have been getting their dresses for a couple weeks now. The dress code is kind of confusing but basically if you question the dress don’t wear it but if you do don’t wear it. If u know the dress is not appropriate don’t wear it either. I don’t really know what they guys are wearing to the dance.

The dance is going to be a lot of fun because it’s just 8th graders and it’s the 8th graders first chance to go to a dance and get a dress for it and dress up. If you’re going to the dance I hope you have a great time. Bye!
